Frequently asked questions

How to brand your paperwork with your own logo, what the platform generates, and the practical questions site teams ask before they start.

Adding your company logo and name

Set this up once and every RAMS, risk assessment, COSHH sheet, phase plan, site diary and inspection report you export carries your branding in the header.

  1. 1

    Sign in and open Settings

Sign in to your account and click Settings at the bottom of the left-hand navigation menu. Scroll to the Company branding card.

  2. 2

    Type your company name

Enter the trading name exactly as it should appear on paperwork, for example "Redlands Civils Ltd", then press Save company name. This is the name printed in the header of every document.

  3. 3

    Upload your logo

Press Upload logo and choose a PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP file from your computer or phone. A square or landscape logo of roughly 400px wide works best, and a transparent PNG looks cleanest on white paper.

  4. 4

    Check the preview

Your logo appears in the preview box straight away and a confirmation message tells you it has been saved. To change it later, press Replace logo; to remove it, press the bin icon.

  5. 5

    Export and confirm

Open any generated document and export it to Word or PDF. Your logo sits top-left of the header with your company name beside it, followed by the document title, project and date.

Company logo and branding

Where do I add my company logo and name?
Settings > Company branding. Enter your company name, press Save company name, then press Upload logo and pick an image file. Both are stored against your account and applied automatically to everything you generate afterwards.
What file types and sizes can I upload?
PNG, JPG, SVG and WebP are all accepted. Anything from around 200px to 1000px wide is fine — the logo is scaled to fit the document header. A transparent PNG gives the tidiest result on printed paperwork.
Do I have to re-upload the logo for every document?
No. You upload it once and it is stamped on every RAMS, risk assessment, COSHH assessment, construction phase plan, site diary, inspection report and toolbox talk you export from then on.
Can I change or remove the logo later?
Yes. Go back to Settings > Company branding and press Replace logo to swap it, or the bin icon to remove it. Documents you export after the change use the new branding; previously exported files are unaffected.
Can I put a client's or principal contractor's logo on a document instead?
The branding header uses your company details. If a principal contractor requires their own header, export to Word and drop their logo into the document before issuing it — the Word export stays fully editable.

Documents and generation

What documents can Construct Assist UK produce?
Method statements and RAMS, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, construction phase plans, toolbox talks, site diaries, site inspection reports, accident reports and daily briefings.
How long does a document take to generate?
Most documents are written in under a minute. You watch the text appear live as it is produced, and it saves to your document library automatically when it finishes.
Can I edit a document after it has been generated?
Yes. Every document opens in an editor, and each time you save, a new version is stored. You can review earlier versions at any point from the document's version history.
How do I export to Word or PDF?
Open the document and use the Export buttons. Word gives you a .docx you can keep editing; PDF gives you a print-ready file for issuing to the principal contractor. Both carry your branding header.
Is the content suitable for UK sites?
Yes. Documents are written to UK conventions and reference CDM 2015 duties, HSE guidance and standard UK site terminology, hazards and control measures. A competent person should still review and sign off every document before it is used on site.
What does the AI assistant do?
Press Ask AI from any page and describe the job in plain English, for example "I need RAMS for drainage works". It asks a few short questions, then produces a full pack: method statement, risk assessment, toolbox talk, PPE list, emergency arrangements, environmental controls and an inspection checklist.

Projects and site records

Do I need to create a project first?
It is not compulsory, but it saves time. A project stores the client, principal contractor, site address, managers, operative numbers, utilities, traffic management and nearest hospital, and those details are pulled into every document you link to it.
What happens to a job once it is finished?
Archive the project. It disappears from your live list and dashboard counts, but the project and all its documents stay searchable for audits and CHAS submissions.
How does CHAS compliance tracking work?
The CHAS page scores the twelve standard evidence areas — health and safety policy, insurance, training matrix, RAMS, risk assessments, COSHH, first aid, fire, plant inspection, toolbox talks, subcontractor competence and policies — with a green, amber or red status and an overall readiness percentage.

Account, billing and trial

How much does it cost?
Seven days free, then £50 a month plus VAT for the whole company account, with unlimited projects and unlimited documents. Full details are on the pricing page.
Is there a contract?
No. It is a rolling monthly plan with no minimum term. Cancel from Settings and you keep access until the end of the billing period.
What happens to my documents if I cancel?
You can export everything to Word and PDF before your access ends, and those files are yours to keep and issue as you wish.

Access, data and support

Can I use it on a phone or tablet on site?
Yes. The whole application is responsive, so site diaries, inspections and photo notes can be completed from a phone in the cabin or out on the works.
Is my data private?
Your projects, documents and company branding are tied to your account and are only visible when you are signed in. Every record is protected by row-level security on the database.
Can other people in my company have access?
Each person signs in with their own account today. Shared multi-user company workspaces, where colleagues see the same projects and documents, are on the roadmap.
Is there a dark mode?
Yes. Use the moon or sun icon in the top bar, or the theme toggle in Settings, to switch between light and dark.
